  • Microwaved Loo Rolls & Mold

I microwaves my loo rolls before I sowed my first seeds in them. The following batches I forgot to microwave. The non microwaved loo rolls now have mold growing on them but the ones I microwaved don't.

    Kind regards

Sounds good Tracey. Did you microwave them dry or wet, what setting and for how long? My daughter microwaves my washing up cloths and sponges to sterilise them.

I microwaved them dry. I can't remember what setting or how high. It wasn't very scientific.

Well you learn something new every day! I had not thought of doing that with loo rolls.

We were asked last year to give loo rolls to daughter's school, but for Health & Safety could we micro them first, 2-3 minutes on high.

= BIG FIRE which killed microwave and scared 5 years off my life!!!
Health & Safety almost burnt down my home!

              So be careful!
