seeds help please I'm about to have a panic

Hi Guys

I remember trying seeds years ago, I have bought myself a couple of cheap seed trays with lids, I've followed the instructions, and yes my marigolds have sprouted over night, I planted them last sunday, I've kept the vents open so it hasnt got too much condensation.

What do I do now, do I leave the lids on?

Please advise me what to do as I'm paranoid there going to go leggy.

I've got them in my sapre room much to the OH disgust!

Take the lid off. I take lids/poly bags, whatever, off as soon as the first seedling has sprouted. Then give them as much light as you can. If you have a cold frame or can improvise one with a box and some rigid plastic, then put them in there in the day and close it up at night. If they are the English or pot marigold (calendula) they'll soon cope outside with no protection. If they are French or African marigolds (tagetes) they are frost tender and will need bringing indoors at night if the temperature is due to plummet. Keep an ear on the weather forecaster!

Things will go wrong when growing things, but its still early in the season and you can sow again. But as Flum says, lid off on germination, or out of the prop on germination.
