After trying a couple of pairs of the strap on knee pads I gave up as they were very uncomfortable on the back of my legs and kept slipping, I just stopped using them and got sore knees everytime I was kneeling.
Well.... I got some cheap £1.99 knee pads, cut of the elasticated straps and sewn them on to a pair of old combat trousers, (You need to position them when you are knelt down as the trousers naturally rise as you bend), then just pin them and sew them on.
I have been using them for a month now and they are bloomin marvelous, no wet comes through and they work brilliantly, the combats also have loads of pockets in for labels, seeds, nails, pruners etc - I look like some mad homeless woman armed to the nines, but I love em!
