Cheers!
They are in a greenhouse in 100mm pots but haven't shown much growth yet. I think the flowering period is dictated by day length so I'll just have to wait and see I suppose.
My real reason for buying them was as a 'rootstock' for next year so I won't be too alarmed if I don't get a lot of flowers this year!My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

How are your plants doing Snadger?? Mine are now blooming and I have pinched out some of the lower shoots that formed. Happy with my purchase - another week or two and there will be sufficient to pick bunches.
Have now moved tham into the Greenhouse to give them some protection, in case of an early frost.

I have also moved mine into the greenhouse today but even though they are a mass of buds only one is flowering......the yellow one.
Alas, one of them was badly attacked by large snails but should survive and give me a few cuttings. A couple have new shoots growing from the stool below ground as well now.
Now yours have coloured up are they as advertised i.e the colours and varieties?
I am not going to do as I usually do with Chrysanth stools, i.e wash off soil and dry out in boxes, instead I intend leaving them in the pots and keeping them ticking over with a view to taking cuttings as they become available.
Should make for a colourful allotment next year!
PS Can you add your location to the top right ravj........it may give me a clue as to why all yours are flowering and the majority of mine are just budded. Mine have been outside in 8" pots all summer (what there was of it!)Last edited by Snadger; 28-09-2008, 07:13 PM.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

Will try and update my profile "a bit". However in the meantime, I live in Gloucestershire. Funilly enough the first of mine to bloom was the yellow as well. However I can tell from the formed buds that others will be a mixture of colours - hopefully as advertised.

The last of the Xthanths to flower are the "Pinks". I already have the "Yellow", "White" and "Rust" coloured in bloom. It was a nice feeling to be able to go into the Greenhouse and pick a bunch which my wife mixed with some flowers from the garden to lay on a family grave.
How do you save the plants/cuttings for next year, Snadger??
