            • Aldi down in Ross had packs of mixed plants like fuchsia, geranium, petunia etc - I think there were in blocks of 8 for about £4

Was in a rush so didn't have time for a proper look .

              • Morrisons had dwarf fruit trees for £5 - apple, pear, can't remember what else. Looked like the size you'd grow in a pot Looked healthy.
Also fruit bushes for £2 including Japanese wineberry which you don't often see.

                • Aldi chilli plants in packs of 4 @ 1.99, very healthy decent sized plants. I bought 3 packs, apache, Hungarian hot wax and Habanero. They also had tomatoes tumbling tom red, Roma plum.

Thanks to shadow75 for posting about 6packs for 1.69, I missed those but got these instead.

                    • Anyone not got their Dahlias?? GL, some flowers to fill up some of that excess land you have??

Peternyssen - dahlia bulbs. Click on spring planting, dahlias....the first couple of pages are the ones that are left.
All half price....that makes each one £1/£1.50
Some nice varieties left too. Postage is usually around a fiver.

Scarlet uses them quite often and I have used them as well. I was really pleased with mine.

                              • called back in to Aldi yesterday and picked up a pack of 8 fuchsias in 4 different varieties for £4 - they had geranium, trailing plants etc too - plenty there, but as usual no watering, so drying out quickly.

OK I've now unpacked the fuchsias and potted them on - nice sturdy little plants. BIG CONFESSION :- premature judgement by me in that at the bottom of plastic packs was a water retaining gel that should be OK for at least a week, probably much more.

Anyway being an old meanie I looked at the empty little trays (2 x 4spaces) and thought why not another cutting ? So I refilled the cells with MPC, cut some pieces off my two Morrison's special fuchsias I bought last week and popped them in the trays. They're now in a plastic bag on top of a radiator.
