"mini-fruit trees" in pots in Lidl - not a vast range of choice but looking quite healthy @ 8.99 - I felt I had to get a cherry just to support the trade :-)

Morrisons in Ross had a range of new soft fruit for 2 in small pots - in addition to the usual ones they had Japanese Wineberry ( I succumbed to the photo, probably a mistake) and kiwi fruit vines. Inevitably the compost was v dry, so if you fancy any, I'd say today or tomorrow to find them still alive assuming your local has a similar delivery pattern.
I looked at those today. The Kiwi is a Jenny - like the thug I had!
I was tempted by the Aronia but decided to sleep on it!
The redcurrants looked healthy and the loganberries. The blackberries were thorned - be aware.
Peonies, Hydrangeas, strawberries, tomato, banana, lemon, coffee and perennials.
Maybe worth a look?
Might try the lemon and the coffee plants (2 for 4).

Have bought other citrus fruits from them - a lime and a calamondin. Bought a lemon tree from Asda a few years back.
I just like the shiny, glossiness of citrus plants. And the pleasure of nurturing a few little fruits.
Its like everything that we gardeners grow - tomatoes, raspberries, beans, everything ..... if its homegrown, we actually take the time to taste it properly, rather than just shove it in and eat it.
Its possible (unlikely!!) that its no better than we would have bought from the supermarket - but because it's ours we stop and think about how it tastes.
It was a treat to try a slice of homegrown from my lemon tree in a vodka and soda just because I had grown it.
Mr Fothergills selling lots of seedsreduced to 1 a packet.
Buy 5 and pay for 4.
Every order receives 2 more free packets -not sure what they are. It was Kale and Marigolds last time I ordered.
