We have been in contact with our supplier over the course of the last 2 days and have managed to source more of the product: Medlar Tree - Westeveldt. A good choice of varieties there, but have to watch out for the p&p of £3.95.

Still works out at less than a pound a packet if you can find 10 packs you want.

Homebase are having a clear out of gardening stuff - I picked up:

Spades and forks for £2.00
Folding saw £1.50
Steel hand trowel £2.00

Probably ideal stuff to keep on the plot and not worry about - lots of other bobbins in the store I visited
Lady at checkout hazarded a guess that the new(ish) Australian owners weren't aware of the seasonal variation between here and Down Under as the BBQs were still full price.
Anyhow - I understand the whole Homebase chain is going through a complete rebranding process so keep an eye on 'em!
