Wilko's may be starting their general sell-off of gardening gear - seems a few locations have been selling electric mowers for £10, petrol for £35 and self-propelled for £50. Seems to be a bit random in terms of which stores are doing what, but maybe worth popping in to your local if you are in the vicinity. I might even make a special trip tomorrow...

Popped to Wilko's this morning - a bit hit and miss in there. Highlights were a walk-in blowaway with 4 shelves for £5. Four shelves £3.50
Some various seed trays and gravel trays from 75p
I stared at the blowaway for a good 10 minutes but managed to resist.
Prices and stock seem to vary store by store.Last edited by Baldy; 11-08-2018, 01:43 PM.sigpic

Wikes - 2 for 1 on 1.8 metre decking - good for raised beds / planters perhaps?

I *might* get a few for some new raised beds... or might hold out for some skip-found wood depending on how tight I feel over the weekendsigpic

Wilkos - Levington Tomato planters (deep fill) 50l for £1 (bought 8 - all they had). Had to ask the price as they weren't marked.
Other little bits and pieces reduced - some gloves 25p,
B&M - 20 bamboo canes (about 3') for 10p
Little green canes (?50) 10p
Seed labels 10p (including some mixed colour ones which might make labelling easier)
Tomorite reduced.

Wyvale has started their 50p sale finally. Later than previous years - they were marking them down as I went in yesterday (Bank Hol Mon).

Read this and dashed over to my local, picked up £15 worth then reality kicked in, no allotment or room in the garden so got it down to £2.50, peppers/chillies 6 pack, broccoli, dwarf beans, crystal apple cucumber and a big box of wild flowers, shhh! (for the forest).
Still don't know where I'll put them.Last edited by robbra; 28-08-2018, 05:02 PM.

I'm resisting the urge to run and buy as I'm trying to use up the seeds that I have before ordering any more seeds.
That's not counting the courgette, squash and pumpkin seeds I ordered the other day - compact varieties so they don't take over the entire plot.
Or the 5 different varieties of dandelion seeds I ordered as my mother weeded out the ones I was growing this year.
