I've asked BD if they are having a 50p sale

    Their reply -
Hello, we do not currently have this offer in our stores, but we will look at what Wyevale did and see what we can do. Thanks.

    Fingers crossed

What are your intentions for these Dandelions that you are deliberately going to plant?
I can only think of home made wine or some sort of elaborate plan for world domination through extortion of plot-holders and gardeners over the globe. Please enlighten me.

        • Went to Wye Valley GC during my lunch break to pick up some compost. (Only.)
Currently 4 for the price of 3 on MPC.
All the fruit plants are being marked down, ended up with a Gooseberry, Blackcurrant and a Red Pepper plant all at £2 each and literally a bag of seed packets from their 50p bargain bucket.

It's a good time to pick up a bargain..

          • I went to Wyevale today and picked up a few flower seed packets however I didn’t get any vegetables ones as I have enough and I think going forward I might try to keep to one seed company.

              • Do you ever wish you didn't make a second trip to Wyevale?
                Where will they all go?

Ha ha. Must admit I am considering a second trip. No doubt I'll buy even more duplicates.
I even wrote a list this year.
Just forgot to put Marigolds on it!

                  • SW, when I went back the next day much of what I looked at before had gone but still managed £9, all veg, I'll have to move for a bigger garden.
I have lists for shopping, never works. The Range does all their seeds at 49p, I know because I got lots there too.
Think I'm losing the plot since joining.

After buying £55 of seeds for £9 at wyevale my wife and I were going through them all by planting date, and regardless of the "name on the front" 80% were in fact by the same company. Have a look and you might be surprised at how few actual suppliers there seem to be.

                        • You terrible people have gone and made me have a sniff round Wilko on my way home today, just in case there was anything decent going cheap.

I've bought a few pots, two grow-bag trays (to be used to sit my sun room plants on), and some half price seeds (Coco blanc a rames/lazy housewife climbing beans, douce provence early peas, oregon sugar pod mangetout, venlo pickling cucumbers, and la diva cucumbers) that I may or may not manage to sow for next year (being dependent on when I move house).

I have also bought a pop-up polythene grow-tunnel for £3.50 (reduced from £12). I think I can run it along the paved path down the middle of my lawn, and it will be wide enough to stake it into the grassed area so it won't blow away. Useful extra protection for some overwintering greens, I hope, though not something I have any experience of using, so I may need to do some reading!

                          • Popped into my local Wilko and though the seeds are advertised as half-price, when I got to the counter they were put through as 10p each!

                            • I went to Wilko Saturday their seeds at 10p and Johnsons at 30p a pack and got some great gloves at 50p a pair

                              • All the seeds were gone at my Wilko today, so no 10p seeds for me. But I bought another three growbag trays for £2 each (down from £5), and two obelisks for £3 each (down from £6) - I already have two of those and they've done me well for my beans, sweet peas and cucumbers, so a couple more will be good for next year.

So I spent £12 and saved £15, which I'm pretty happy with
