Chip buttie!

We've got one near us which has changed hands during the summer.

Among the lunchtime specials is a jumbo sausage - battered or plain - and what is described as a small chips.

The 2 of us cut the sausage in half with half a plate of chips EACH with enough chips left over for a sizeable chip buttie x2 later! A chap ordered the same but insisted on large chips with both that he ordered - that will clearly be an obscene amount of food per person.

All for £1.40!

Just hope they don't do out of business due to apparent over-generosity! Great chips as well!

lol .... she's having a bubble ...... yeah dead healthy ..... except for the calories ......... at least as many as a chip butty

snakeshack, dont do subway nooooooooooooooo there coffee is worse than dirty dish water, there sandwiches arnt all that nice the bacon ones are vile. if in town i use any deli but them. and the chippie chice would probbly be first.

What's all this talk of "Buy"

When I was a lad you could go into a chippy and ask for a bag of bits, the stuff they scooped out the fat. If you smiled and asked nicely they were usually free.
I have still got my old Cubs Scout Cap. Perhaps I will donn that and put on a pair of shorts and try my luck !
