Just thought I would mention! It might be worth checking in your area when the offer is running! It differs depending if you live inside or outside the M25 area! I saw Pauls message on Sat morning. I went post haste to my local Lidl Which is South Ockendon in Essex! The Offer there starts this Thursday 9th Oct!! There are other plants on offer as well all at the price of £1.29 each! Also 10 Panzy plugs for think is £1.99
Now you all know where I will be bright and early on Thursday morning, banging on lidl's door at one minute to eight just b4 they open!
I think that the offer starts everywhere this Thursday, Paul had just posted the link after the general Lidl's up and coming e-mail came out.

went to lidls today and got my plants, 3 of each, except gooseberrys cos they are horrid, also got a bargain in wilkies, the garden arches were half price, so £2.50 each, they are big ones ....... got 3, so i'm gonna plant the bushes, cover them with the arches, and put netting over the top ...... complete fruit bed for under £30

thats a great idea you know, I had two cheapies from woolies this year, and was thinking of doing the same next year, not sure I can find room in the garden though for fruit bushes as well, although it would work just as well for beans etc.
I got my plants today as well! I got balckberry, raspberry and also goseberry, just because they are oldfashiond and I had not seen gooseberrys around for I dont know how long! I have forgotten what they taste like have a vague memory that they are sower It is sooo many years since I had one.
I also bought 4 of their flowering bushes as well! Having just about compleatly gutted my garden over the last few weeks to start over again, I thought I had better buy some new things to go in it! Planting everything will keep me out of mischief for a little while!

the good thing is, as they are over 6foot tall, you can sink them into the ground and they don't move, and you can walk under it ....... and if wayne got 4 he could make them even tall enough for him and you can still grow stuff like beans and peas and things up the outside ..... just got to work out how to fit it in, with a chook house and run and a polytunnel now ...... guess that's my lawn going
just have a good look inside the boxes, there were a few that had leaves on them, that looked very kind of dead .... so make sure you get healthy looking ones ...... guess they have been sat round for a while ..... anyway, the ones i got still look healthy, all i have to do now is not kill them over winter

well i have two fixed together already, to make a deep arbour , I guess next year i could add two more and move the bench, I am definately running out of room though
Only had blueberries, black and red currants in ours so got a couple of each of those. Wanted some blackberries and gooseberries also but no luck for those. The red currants all looked a bit dead but I gently scratched away part of the bark near the base and it was nice and green so decided to risk it. Not got the fruit part of the lottie quite sorted yet so they're going in pots for a bit but at that price you can't pass them by.

Watch out for Aldi's too. They seem to do similar stuff around the same time.
I know "my" Aldi put certain stuff out the night before the deals start for things like plants etc - the stuff you have to queue for goes out on the day the deal starts. So if you want to get the bestest ones you might need to get there just before they shut on the deal eve.
Disclaimer - I know this happens in "my" Aldi doesn't mean that it will apply in all branches
actually i did wonder about aldi, we have a new one since summer, within walking distance, not got intothe habit of going in there yet, but i did wonder if they do the same sort of stuff as lidl's.
might take a wander up tomorrow see whats what?
