i got a a load of well rotted cow manure a few years ago, but unknown to me it was alive with bind weed seeds.the same autumn i tried to make cider but i ended up with vinegar.i used some of the vinerar to spray the bind weed seedlings ,now my plot is bind weed free. i gave the soil some lime to make the soil less acidic to counteract the vinegar

i had a plant that liked acid soil years ago, so i figured i'd stick a bit of vinegar in the water ......... it died in about 2 days ....... whoops

Yep both salt and vinegar are good weedkillers! (I prefer them on fish & chips though!)
