tip-crushed egg shells & cabbage

hi everyone!

when planting cabbages out put clean dry crushed egg shells on the bottom of the area where you are going to plant your cabbages before you remove them from the pot, i found this helps protect them from rot.

and it also keeps the slugs away as they dont like the rough feel

I feed all my eggshells back to the chucks - none left for the cabbages!

I've never known any cabbages to rot ...?
