Last winter apart from terracing and framing my lottie I made some smaller wooden frames, about 12 ins square and about 2ins deep, for seed sowing. I can put them any where and fill them with good fine soil or compost. (My soil is clay and full of flint). Sow very short rows of seeds that provided me with just enough plants,(there are only two of us) and saved seed also I don't need a seed bed. More growing space Not that I am tight but it does seems such a waste of plants when I have no one to pass them on to.
Just a thought for those short of space, not that I am, or newbies growing for the first time.
