Ah but have you got a foolproof not to mention splinterfree method of getting the wretched things apart. The ones we get are so well made they need blasting.Bright Blessings

You need a nail remover Earthbabe. The nails they use on pallets usually have rings on them to help bite into the wood.
All my staging is built with ranalised roof laths by th etime you've taken a pallet apart you could have built it all !! & it won't rot in a rush.
Pallets are best used for compost bins I think.

I can't really explain how I do it, it's a bit like trying to explain how to use your feet on the pedals when driving a car...I just do it! Bit like Luke Skywalker "Use the power of the force Luke"
A very useful commodity pallets! My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order

There's a retired joiner on the next allotment to me who pounces on all the pallets that become available! He has two tressels stored behind my shed made from pallet wood. I imagine when his tomatoes are finished he'll drag them into his greenhouse and set up a propagation bench. Very knowledgable fellow Billy. Most of the stuff I learn on this site makes me say "Ahhh, thats why Billy does that!!"My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
