does anyone know where i could get really good deals on veg, fruit and herb as when i was in cruws hill i got 6 packets on veg seeds for only 1pound for all 6 so if you could help me id be most greatfull

Places like Lidl and Aldi do packets starting at 19p but probably won't have any until next spring. Check out Adam's catalogue at seeds for success. You'll probably find the stocks quite low at the mo in a lot of places while the new year's stock is awaited. A number of folks posted that Wyevale had a lot of cheap end of season seed, don't know if that one is still running.

Keep your eyes open.

By the way if you want parsnip seed for sowing in Feb/March next year I have a load of Avonresister. Shorter rooted with resistance to canker.
