I've hit upon an effective, nice looking and green way of producing labels for marking the rows out as the seedlings emerge.
We recently replaced an old Venetian style (cheap!) blind which I initially broke up into small bits for the fire. My Mrs doesn't like me growing food unless things are REALLY neat, including the labels, and she really likes these.
I grabbed a load of slats and cut them with scissors into label sized lengths and have now started using them (biro works well on them). They are easy to re-use aswell, a bit of fine sandpaper cleans them right off! Ace!
Love a bit of recycling!
