Has anyone got any thoughts on how I should transport some plants in an estate car?

I'm planning to go get about 12 Dogwoods & Climbers but have realised that they will not stand up in the back of the car (even with the seats down). The last time I collected a similar size plant I stood it in the foot-well but with 12 plants there won't be room to do that. Can I lie them down?

    Any suggestion would be great.

They should be OK Caroline, Just line the back of the car with Plastic then if there is any spillage it's easily cleaned.

Could you not tie plastic bags around the pots so if any soil did fall out, hopefully it would go in the bag and not in your car? DDL

Depends if your tired or not ... oh sorry you mean the plants

Yes they will be fine as they are shrubs & by their nature are woody.
