Cheap soft and hard fruit.........

Just been to the local Instore to get some more cheap flower bulbs. I got some that were reduced from £2.00 to £1.00 and recently 50p!

Anyway, went back to get some more today and shock, horror, they had all been sold, but........

They now have Blackcurrants,Redcurrants and Gooseberies at £1.99 each!

They also have a small selection of bare rooted fruit bushes, I got myself a self pollinating cherry tree for £4.99. I also bought two large square onrnamental plant pots (roughly 15" square) buy one get one free! Worked out at £1.50 each!

I have planted one of these up with 20 mixed daffodils, using the contents of one of the grow bags I got earlier in the year for 49p!

Total cost of large planted tub = £2.50! Can't be bad now can it?

That's amazing! I only ever get bargains at car boot sales! Well done. You'll enjoy your bargains all the more later when they've come into fruit. Wish we had had Instore - I'd be there before you could say BOGOF!

Ok Chaps and chapesses here's another one for you!

Just been to Morrisons (loads of these about so shouldn't be a problem) and they have, along with rose bushes, soft fruit bushes!!! They have Blackcurrants, Redcurrants and Gooseberries all at £1.29p!!! Yep thats right, £1.29 each and they are strong healthy looking plants! Not named varieties, but at £1.29 what do you want, blood????

My fruit garden is expanding by the week, I must stop buying them or else I'll have no room left for veg!!!

We don't have any of those shops in Tunbridge Wells and our Morrisons has closed down, I did notice some very healthy lemon trees at the farmer's market for £25, seen these in catalogues for over £40 for this size. I can get herbs, shrubs and some bulbs at the fms but no cheapo stuff, so shall just have to envy you all.
I suppose I could trek out to Wyvale but then I have to drag everything home on the bus or pay £8.50 for delivery which rather defeats the object.
