Apologies if I am telling you all how to do something that you all know about! But thought someone might find it helpful.
Last year I drew my plot plan (with alot of rubbing out etc) in my garden/veg diary, which I never had with me in the garden and didn't want it to get muddy either. So the other day, I sat and drew a plan out on the computer. I used Publisher, but it would have worked in Word as well. I drew the boxes with the "text box" button and filled in the words with Wordart. As simple as that. Its not to any scale, but at least it is in proportion. It also didn't take me very long either (which was a surprise).
First of all I did the main plan of the area, polytunnel and beds and then I did the plan for 2007. It will be so simple next year to to the same again, but ensuring good crop rotation. Also if I need to change anything as I;m planting I can just do it and still have an up to date plan.
Being an "oldie" and generally liking to work with paper copies this is a bit of a break through for me, but I can see the benefits! I just wish the plot looked as clean and tidy!
