  • Carol Klein 'Grow Your Own Veg.' Book

Carol's book is on offer from The Book People for £4.99, yes £4.99! You do pay £3.50 p/p though unless you order it before 31/01/07 & use the code 153FPP during the checkout stage where it asks if you have a promotional code or special offer code. This code may not work as it referred to the previous brochure offers which I also ordered from but try it anyway. There are also other gardening books on offer & in their sale sections.

You also get free P&P if you spend over £25. I've order GYOV for me as well as a couple other books, and someone I work with has also ordered it and some other stuff for her grandkids, so we're getting free P&P that way. Can't wait to get it - I love reading gardening books, and as I've enjoyed the series so much, I'm doubly keen!!

Worked for me too so hope the book's a good one - wouldn't be willing to pay full price but at that price............

Thanks for the tip-off - it's a great series for us novices.

Think I ordered mine the same time and got a mail on Friday that it had been dispatched so fingers crossed it'll be at home when I get in tonight.

I got one of those annoying red cards regarding my book from the postman which says we tried to deliver 2 seconds after you left for work this morning. So hopefully will be able to pick it up from the sorting office tomorrow.

Still waiting for my subsidised compost bins though.

Me too, had hoped they'd leave it in the greenhouse like they normally do but it would appear not. Mind you the card says I have two parcels to am now curious about the other one.

In my rush to buy the book, I made a bit of a booboo (but no pic-a-nic basket I'm afraid). My wife mentioned that she had bought me some things for valentines (mentioned in other post) - yep you guessed it, she bought me this book!

Anyhoo, I'll be on the phone to The Book People this morning to arrange a return (hopefully) of the one I purchased.

                              More haste, less weed.
