Simply put - butties!
Today I threw one together with whatever I saw first: cheese, pesto, tomato and baby spinach. I didn't even know if it'd be any good, but it was really nice and gave me the gumption (love that word) I needed to finish what I went to do and then pedal the bike home (uphill most of the way).
Of course - being on my new "plastic free" mission (and boy is that proving tricky - that stuff is EVERYWHERE!) I had it wrapped in a bit of parchment paper which did the job nicely.
A couple of (metal) bottles of water kept me from drying out too.
When I've got some stuff to harvest I plan to take down a camping stove and cook up some nice, fresh allotment grub - probably with some dried pasta (home made for super-fast cooking, about 3 minutes) or some such.
