Veg Trug - as seen on TV

Good Afternoon

Is anyone using one of those Veg Trug as seen on TV and in gardening mags? The ones are mean are 2mtr and 1mtr long. I thought they are a bit costly but then again maybe I'm mean, or should that be thrifty I reckon I could make one so does anyone know where I can get a drawing or perhaps I need to be secretive and look at local garden centres and get out my tape measure.

Not sure I know what you mean. What I know as a trug is a shallow basket used for collecting veg and transporting stuff. Small enough to carry.

It's also not a trug according to standard definition. I'd hate to haul that to and from me plot to collect the veg!

Looks lovely, but I agree with you it is a bit (or a lot) pricey. I suppose if you don't have a garden it might be worthwhile, but you could always use large plastic troughs from the cheap shops.

Wow, and i thought buying extra large tub trugs for my container garden was an extravagance! Thank you all for your replies and links. Being a "man of a certain age" I was considering this as a winter build project but I may just use my pocket money on more containers.
