My sisgave me this for Christmas, lots of great recipes for all the fruits I grow, makes a nice change from just apples & pears. Super book I'd recommend it, not that it is trhe right time to try the recipes but hopefully they will work. Anyone know of the veg one is as good ?

I got the fruit one for Christmas too but haven't had much time to read it yet. Have the veggie one (acutally have it twice now as bought it myself last year and then my brother gave it me again for Christmas)
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I love Nigel
I only saw it once (clearly and rightly snapped up!) but if you have a 'The Works' near you they had some of Tender Vol I at £6.99 recently.I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I get his recipes from the internet and have been collecting them for ages, started years ago when he wrote for The Observer. His books (and Toast, much of which chimed with my early/teenage life, especially the wanting to do domestic science bit) are now on my new year Amazon list. I watched his programme on BBC last evening, I have the same planning system for the garden, with all the random notes and little sketches in a sort of diary/journal, I think he's by far and away the best and most inspirational chef on the tele now.
And I'm out digging the JAs this morning, going to do the potato and JA recipe with baconLast edited by TonyF; 04-01-2011, 07:32 AM.TonyF, Dordogne 24220
