Bargain potatoes

Just thought I'd share info that my local B&Q had reduced remaining stocks of seed potatoes (well sprouted!) to £1 a bag. I picked up a bag of first earlies and a couple of bags of Charlotte salad pots. Have planted out the first earlies today - some had shoots about 10cm long. Fingers crossed that its not too soon and that the soil isn't too cold! It'll be good to see something growing on my new lottie.

I met a colleauge lottie owner yesterday who had been to our local B&Q to ask where the tatties were. As they were being thrown out he has told he could have as much as he wanted - having a tranny van, took the lot and is now distributing them throughout our site! many thanks! Bernie aka Dexterdog
