Bargains to be found in Poundland

I got 25 Abysinnian gladioli bulbs for just a £1 (of course )

and a packet of seeds with 3 different beans in there (individually wrapped).
French beans, flagiolet and good ol broad beans which am just about to sow.
I think it was roughly 25 seeds of each.

Yes, indeed Poundland have some attractive lines in seed. Like your beans usually three or more varieties in a packet. Ideal for the small scale or new grower. Last season I tried their Mediterranean collection: Aubergine, Tomato, Orgegano, Spring Onion, Basil and Rocket. - Success with the tomatoes, onions and rocket. - aubergines grew into nice little plants and flowered, but we're too far north for the fruit to set. (gave away the basil & oregano) - but I certainly got my £1.00 back in produce - and still a few tomato and rocket seed left for this year.

Just checked Poundlands website - most veg selections now have 8 varieties - even if you don't want to grow them all, still an amazing bargain!
