Each weekend my 5 year old grandson stays with us. He loves toast n honey for his breakfast. I buy a granary loaf from a local craft baker, but sometimes its too tall for the toaster, so I trim off the top crusts and chuck em out the window for the birds.
This morning it was raining and when I went down the greenhouse a few mins ago I noticed that dozens of small slugs were feasting on the crusts.... hehehe... they were easy to dispatch.
Must try this trick again.
