Last year I bought some organic garlic spray as a natural pest repellant. It seems very good, but as usual when one finds something good, it disappears off the market! Has anyone else used it and does anyone know where to buy it?

Garlic spray/garlic granules
Hi everyone, glad we're not the only one that uses garlic as a slug deterrent.
have just looked at the price of the 8oog garlic granules, at 7.99p they are rather expensive.
I buy a 3kg tub from a local wholesaler for about 12.99 + vat = 4.75 per kg.
I am trying to find out whether I can buy them in larger quantities, so that the price is even cheaper.
We are also using rhubarb leaves, which we break up and put in a large pillow case and throw it into one of the large water butts.
Then we just water the liquid on and around the veg plot. We don't steep them in boiling water first.
Will let you know how the combi of garlic granules and rhubarb leaves work.
As an added extra, we have created a 'slug bar' cheap lager, hope the slimey so and so's fall in with a hangover and drowned.Vron, Tara & Harley. (The black beastie)

Just threw the whole corms/plants into the water butts.
I found it easier to sprinkle the garlic granules around the veg when planting out/weeding by using a small plant pot.Vron, Tara & Harley. (The black beastie)

I do the garlic in water home made stuff- dont follow a recipe though, I just chop some up. Put in boiling water to get it going then top up to fit my spray bottle. I had hardly any green fly on the broad beans ( had to remove about 4 tips from 8 rows), and I've had hardly any caterpilllars on my uncovered brassicas. Everything bothered by bugs gets a good spray regularly & most things seem to want to move home afterwards- mind you, stinks to high heaven!
