  • Wheelbarrow Washer!

    I always leave my wheelbarrow "right way up" during periods of (particularly heavy) rain. I then have lovely fresh rain water in which to clean my fresh dug spuds etc! Mother nature therefore saves on water bills!!

    ^^^^such an obvious thing to do...but I bet most of us haven't ever washed our spuds that way!

      I left one wheel barrow out all the time, now it's rusty and falling apart, so had to get another one!!

          We used to leave ours that way up - the water was filthy, not what I'd want to wash anything in!

            I see your point, I just empty mine after each "spud wash" give it a wipe and wait for the next rain (of which we have had quite a bit!).

              which is why I store mine upside down because these thing are a god send n don't come cheap!

              So yeah! defoe a plastic one for me next time!

                I leave my trugs unstacked and they soon fill with rain water. thing is they sometimes get to heavy to move though.
