Golly gosh, Burnie. Is that earlier than usual or par for the course?
Normally mid-October for us. But we often have a very cold spell late September. I've never seen evidence of frost then, but it's enough to finish off the toms and the like. We've already had some nights cold enough to wreak havoc among them.
It can snow on the tops of the hills in every month of the year, but this year one bit of snow that usually lies all year, melted for the first time in decades.
