The wind is permanently howling here. Are they still giving the storms names or have we whizzed through the entire alphabet already??
There is a seemingly nameless storm forecast for this afternoon, winds up to 100k so presumably the shrieking wind that woke me up this morning isn't the actual storm yet!

I hope it clears up for you Bramble.
Heard on the RTE news that this one is called Desmond
Desmond is the worst yet, absolutely howling and rain hammering on the window, my poor old hens were blown about all over the place earlier on, I had to shut them in. I wonder what the C gale was called.
In the past few weeks we have had Abigail, Barney, Clodagh and now Desmond.
We are being well and truly hammered by stormy weather and everywhere is sodden nd flooded.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Thank you Bramble, I don't know how I missed the name Clodagh because I sure didn't miss the storm
Desmond howled all night and still shrieking away and the rain is lashing down. Apparently it's going to ease tomorrow then start again on Monday, I wonder if Monday is letter E.
