Lovely mild day here today. Temp got up to 18deg.
Having said that it was very windy but great for November.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Well the temp. Is down this morning with a distinct nip in the air. At least its dry so I can get out and about after all the rain and stormy weather.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

They name the storms now, the last one was Abigail and now Barney's on the way, apparently bringing hurricane force winds later this eve!
Although sometimes their predictions don't quite happen so maybe it will just be a regular storm. The best things in life are not things.

We have been hammered here this afternoon by gale force wind and driving rain.
this is the result of hurricane Barney.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.

Woke up to rain first thing this morning and it hasnt stopped since. Everywhere flodded and sodden. Dark and miserable.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

The wind is permanently howling here. Are they still giving the storms names or have we whizzed through the entire alphabet already??
There is a seemingly nameless storm forecast for this afternoon, winds up to 100k so presumably the shrieking wind that woke me up this morning isn't the actual storm yet!
I hope it clears up for you Bramble.Last edited by Verinda; 04-12-2015, 10:09 AM.The best things in life are not things.

Oh, thank you Meteor.
Desmond is the worst yet, absolutely howling and rain hammering on the window, my poor old hens were blown about all over the place earlier on, I had to shut them in. I wonder what the C gale was called. The best things in life are not things.

It was called Clodagh Verinda.
In the past few weeks we have had Abigail, Barney, Clodagh and now Desmond.
We are being well and truly hammered by stormy weather and everywhere is sodden nd flooded.

Thank you Bramble, I don't know how I missed the name Clodagh because I sure didn't miss the storm
Desmond howled all night and still shrieking away and the rain is lashing down. Apparently it's going to ease tomorrow then start again on Monday, I wonder if Monday is letter E.The best things in life are not things.
