Very wet overnight, damp and drizzly this morning, but the wind has gone and although again 3 degrees at 6.30am, it felt an awful lot warmer! Looks like a damp but mild day ahead.

OMG what a day! Did I fall asleep for seven months? Are we approaching the shortest day rather than the longest? It was brighter here at 7pm than at 1pm. Had to keep the lights on all day. That, and all the rain, rain and more rain, made this the most depressing day of the year so far. Temp approx. 12 degrees. Hope there is some improvement over the weekend. A good beginning is half the work.

been raining in Clare most of the time since Wednesday
Every time it slightly brightens up, by the time I get my wellies on it's lashing again...

By all accounts the country had fabulous weather yesterday, all except here.
