Going to be watching this thread more closely, we're holidaying in Ireland at the end of June . Driving holiday from dublin to the west coast and back to dublin. Guess we are going to need to pack everything!

You'll have a lovely time. The rain is nice and warm during the summertime.

Still watching this, even though we've had to postpone the holiday as hubby broke his big toe! Now going end of August for 10 days. The toe is 6 weeks into mending but still not ready for walking cliffs and lots of driving etc. Hopefully by the time we travel he'll be much better.
It was very depressing at the time but now resigned, keep thinking though that about now we'd be settled in a cottage in Miltown Malbay for a few days and relaxing with a Guiness! Hey ho!

Honestly sometimes you wonder why things keep happening to keep you from a holiday or such - but then again, it might be warmer in August, and the guiness will still be there.

Major thunder and lightening storm last night with flooding in parts of Dublin and Cork. Also demolished the roof of one of our oldest department stores and struck then clock outside with lightening.
More of the same starting up as i type.

I was walking on the beach today. When we started out it was warm with beautiful sunshine, after a while it started raining quite lightly, soon it was pelting down so hard the rain was making holes in the sand. Next there was a ferocious hail storm and it got really cold!! Not exactly what I was expecting! We were soaked and frozen by the time we got back to the car!

Beautiful couple of days here....Dry and crisp feel withou being too cold..Yesterday was particularly nice..

We went to the beach yesterday and discovered that the car park is completely gone! Just a few bits of tarmac left! It will cost loads to make another one. And more storms forecast today. Although I think the rest of the week will be better.

Just spring then, I can cope with autumn, but although I''m over summer, I'm not yet ready for winter again.

We had our first fall of snow today. Freezing cold with a bitter wind. Fortunately the snow didn't last.
