            • Bit overcast today but lovely and clear, some clear blue skies, this afternoon on the way back from Sarlat was a lovely 13 degrees. Didn't even need me outdoor jacket on, lovely.

And we were on our way back from seeing the latest Mike Leigh film, 'Another Year', if you get the chance go see it, it's brilliant.

              • Weather today has been great, I was out working in the garden this morning in just a tshirt and poloshirt (and all the other bits covered too of course), temperature got up to 14 by 1pm.

If the weather stays like this, will be starting the seeds indoors/in the greenhouse in the next few days.

                • Bright, sunny and warm morning, temperature still holding well, not doing anything in the garden today - or anywhere else, having TWO new years is a bit odd and makes the night longer, so resting after all the food (most of which I prepared) and then out tomorrow, bought the organic seed compost yesterday so it's time to seed partyyyyyyyyyy.

                  • Lucky old you Tony. Grey damp and a mere 2C here actually fells colder tan the other day when the temp didn't get above freezing. Gardening is OFF for the moment!!!

                    • Went to Bordeaux for the day today, hospital visit, left here at 7 am, it was -5, pottered through the Dordogne and into the Gironde - 7 almost all the way, so cold it was eye watering and only up to 2 by the time we got home at 4.

                      • Meteo for tomorrow is MERDE, apart from two small areas, snow and rain almost across the country tho a bit warmer, could be up to 14/15 down this way in the afternoon. Come on, deliver my greenhouse heaters tho I'm getting the seeds started indoors until they arrive!

                        • Well, MeteoFrance got that completely wrong for this area!! Grey and overcast for sure nd some rain but not too heavy. This morning is similar, persistant drizzle, too wet underfoot to work outside but will get into the greenhouse a bit later to set some more seeds

                          • Was pottering round outside this afternoon, weather not bad at all and set fair for the next few days, wall to wall sunshine for Sunday tho still coldish, maybe rain on Monday. But in the meantime, going to make the best of things and get some clearing up done and the new heaters installed in the greenhouse.

                            • Glorious day today, cold this morning but great afternoon, spent almost 6 hours in the garden today, mainly pruning the huge vine over the terrasse and then clearing leaves and pruning the trees on the top terrasse.

And the wether forecast for the next couple of days is superb too, lots of shoots showing through and even have daffs and tulips starting to show.

                              • Weather set fair for the next few days, so far been able to spend at least 3/4 hours a day outside in the past week or more. Weather should be bright sunshine, up to 15 degrees until at least Wednesday morning according to local France 3.

Locally, cold mornings (which is ok as we're at the kine 3 times a week at 9.30 for attention to J's new knee) and all afternoon in the garden but J even ventured outside yesterday to potter around on the terrasse and do a couple of small jobs that didn't entail bending.

Other days it's gardening in the morning and afternoon. Just a few hours a day and you can already see the difference, hopefully get the broad beans in this afternoon and a dozen more lavender on a new lavender bank and an hour in the greenhouse - that is after Sunday at the local market.
