      • Well, it's stopped raining but at 7.40 ish, it's very damp and mnisty, can't see the village in the valley a km away for the mist so today's an in doors day. Far too wet underfoot tho I may go out later and lift some rogue thornless blackberry roots.

        • Miserable and still wet this morning but better tho still overcast this afternoon.

Meteo for tomorrow looks ok, warm/hot in the afternoon but after that, the week looks a bit grim!

Still, got out for an hour or so this afternoon, lifted 18 nicely rooted blackberrioes sans epine, probablt to give most to chums and a few pottering about things.

              • Excellent day in 24, bit sticky but apart from that, really good working weather - managed to cut about 25 metres of the longer side hedge, then ran out of steam.

If the weather holds, off to chums tomorrow to get the last of the maincrop spuds in and hopefully the first lot of long and short French beans.

                • Right, my friends have departed today in their motorhome. It can stop raining NOW. I need to get out in to the garden to do more than mow the lawn and paddock that I did yesterday, but it's too wet. The water is flowing rapidly from a drainage channel that my wife decided to dig from our half finished extension on Sunday when I was bedridden after catching some sort of stomach/flu virus. It looks like that this week is sowing seeds in modules and nothing else because of the rain showers! I might be able to plant out some cabbages that are ready in the coldframe.

                  • What a bummer of a day, rained overnight so no spuds going in today, did manage 2.5 hours outside this morning but the prevision has come true and now it's raining and it looks as tho it's in for the rest of the day.

                      • Whizzing through your way tomorrow I think Jardiniere, on way to raiding Ikea at Toulouse!

Looks brighter today, think we may get a few hours in but still far too wet on chum's garden to get the last of the spuds in.

                            • There and back in one day, 500 km. Weather was sunny, stormy, squally and generally hard work on the autoroutes and the A & N roads.

Ikea was in the middle of a total refit, chaotic there, queues were horrendous and if anybody on here is the Brit woman in aisle 28 with two trolleys full of stuff and pushing a bag along with her feet which made a bad day worse - next time TAKE SOMEBODY TO HELP YOU

But we got what we wanted - and when we arrived back here a short while ago, it hadn't rained at all and appears to have been warm and sunny - bugger, another good gardenin g day lost.

                              • Saturday - glorious, shopping in the morning and the rest of the spuds in at chum's potager in the afternoon plus first lot of French beans planted out.

Sunday - glorious too, plant fair in the morning (I was VERY well behaved) and planting out in our garden in the afternoon including filling some of the self destructed gaps in the strawberry bed.

Today looks good, bit misty this morning, off to see a client this morning and then this afternoon we're doing a gardening club visit to a nursery to buy - that's it, plants
