  • Heavy showers all day today so off to do some planning this morning and then back home for lunch followed by a couple of hours in the garden. Managed to get some tidying up done from pond work yesterday and then as it started to drizzle again, split a new Gardener's Garters I bought at the weekend into 18 rooted baby plants

But now rained off for sure.

      • Yay! it's not raining here today (yet) either. Have put out the washing and 40 cabbages. Hoe'd off all the rogue tomato seedlings that I hadn't saved and it all looks rather garden like!
Hot stuff forecast for next week.

        • Not raining here today either so after lunch off out doing some of the hard landscaping, need to do a couple of largish jobs before the gardening club come on Monday week.

But looking promising for next week

          • Likewise - might be able to do some planting out this pm, but our garden is very wet. My better half has done the washing hoping it will dry this pm! Look forward to some better weather once again. (When I drove up to sort a fiend's computer out yesterday morning, the road was blocked by a fallen tree - I also noticed others that had fallen overnight. The previous night had been very wet and with heavy winds, probably flattening trees loosened in the tempete)

            • Well, bank holiday day, weather actually looks good although it's still earlyish.

Got some of the new steps dug out yesterday so may try to get the rest dug out if the weather holds for a while - after 10 tho, don't want to upset the neighbours and it needs to be a tad warmer outside

              • Sunny here too, the weatherman reckons on it staying that way for a while....................

                • Glorious day, really warm today. Shopping and to chum's with potager this morning, stayed for lunch and really hotting up. Spent the whole afternoon in our garden, J was tidying and I started planting out my potager - was a bit unsure but locals are telling me that it's time to start and many locals spent yesterday planting out.

And meteo looks set fair for the next few days, perhaps the wet weather has dropped off and we're starting proper printemps now.

                  • I was in the GC today - and it was heaving. I started planting out a couple of weeks ago, perhaps people will stop rolling their eyes at me now!!

                    • Excellent and very hot day here in 24 and the weather looks good for the next few days, means we can get on for the gardening club visit on Monday week.

Spent most of the day at chums putting in veggies on the potager and the evening here using some of the top soil we got from them today to put into half barrels to plant out extras. And picking up more on Tuesday, they have excellent soil, we have clay.

                        • Went to one of the many plant fetes yesterday. It was a few miles north of us. Place was heaving - with Brits (not used to that where we live!). OH bought bedding plants for me to put in today. Weather is set fine for this week so I can see the watering can being put to good use to keep them going.
First peas are flowering, so fresh peas are on the horizon!

                          • Same as the plant fairs here Rodley, lots of maison sec owners getting the place ready for the season, so many Brit plated cars.

Glorious day today and looks good for the next two days at least. Had the afternoon off to go to the pictures but got back about 6, started work again and didn't come in until 8.15. excellent

                            • So hot yesterday, was out in my garden at 7.30, in chums by 10.30, back in mine at 4.30 and then stayed out until 8pm, glorious day.

And looks like set fair for today tho the meteo for tomorrow may be a bit grim

                              • Looks like saturday will be a wet one, perhaps a shower on Thurs or Friday.
Need to get all the grass cut as the mower has been in for repairs for the last 2 weeks (steering column broke!).
Anyone know how to stop the cabbage flea beetle besides spraying as, with start of warm weather, these little blighters have already started attacking my young cabbages (but have sprayed now)?
And now to attack a mole that had decided to burrow in my new area for the veg!
