      • Yes indeed I am.
I watched the weather last night on TF2 and the laydee said there will be storms over the weekend, but more thunder and lightening than winds, so you shall be safe on your bateau.
        Bon Voyage all the same.

        • Happy birthday Jardiniere, us Geminis have to stick toget.

Great day so far, back from lunch at chums which was slightly odd for some reason, both food and company and back to the gardening. Managed to sort out the watering system and get some more tomato spirals in, love the Weldom 10% off voucher for my birthday tho actually didn't buy too much.

          And still lovely and warm

Hot and sunny today but with a few rumbles of thunder and a few spots of rain this afternoon.

No Nicos, later this week but the voucher arrives in late May and I needed a couple of expensive bits for the watering system so used it straight away

                • Weather has broken here - at last - and it's been raining on and off for 36 hours, far too wet to go work the gardens. Good thing is that the water butts are refilling, excellent!

                  • A little rain last night too. Really could do with several days worth of persistant rain, the ground is soooooooooo dry. This morning bright sun again. That will make the weeds grow!!! Just checked the French Met Office forecast and it looks as though we are in for more rain

Must pick the strawberries this morning.

                    • it absolutley positively rained on friday ...on saturday we went for a day trip (in a charabanc) to the pyrenees (Pic de Midi) where it was snowing........and came back via Lourdes (oh my gosh what a strange place) but sunny ...and when we got back we discovered it had been raining here again so today we emptied out flower pots , tied up sunflowers, and weeded like mad....

                      • The last few days have been wet and windy. The rain was much needed and I can now get the straw mulch on the ground. The local Farmer lets me have HUGE round bales in exchange for a few eggs and some jam and the odd bowl of home made soup in the winter. Not a bad swop? It looks as if it will be dryish for the next few days but with fairly low temperatures so gardening will be in full swing.

                        • Meteo for the next few days looks better but for the past few days has been really wet and windy here. Still water butts are now all filled and actually got out this morning for a couple of hours refining the watering system and splitting some ornemental grasses I bought a couple of weeks ago. Two types of Miscanthus and two Carex, managed to get 24 plants out of each of the MNiscanthus and the same out of one of the carex. The other is flowering so I'm goingf to try to keep some seed heads and try to grow on from them.

                          • Reading the local paper yesterday I found an article declaring that Eure (27) is officially in a drought situation! Not that the ground seems particularly dry but the water table is very low. When I have time I must look back over the last three years that I have been recording the rainfall. Today has been a bit overcast but warm. As we have had rain I have pressed on with the mulching in the hope that I won't have to water or weed anymore!!!!!

                              • Nicos, whats the weather been like at home for the last week? I get news but they're not gardeners so dont understand the importance of weather reports!!
Hope all the Froglet/tes are getting the weather they want in their respective departements.
