  • Here too The bird's water is frozen over and the plants are all drooping.

Luckily I bought the last of the pumpkins in for storage yesterday and I put the titchy greenhouse in it's over wintering quarters. Still haven't lit the fire though - everyone around us has had theirs going for ages.

Still, it's a beautiful sunny day here and I can still put the washing out so - hey, ho, life is good

    • Today in central Brittany, we've gorgeous sunshine with a bright blue sky and about 15 degrees. The lowest its been for the last couple of nights was about 4 degrees, but with beautiful sunny days, although the evenings are starting to feel a bit chilly, woodburner not in use yet! This morning was spent at a local market buying fresh garlic, olives, oysters and cheese with a 'petit cafe' sat outside a bar in the sun! Lunch was a 11 euro 'menu du jour' 3 course meal....moules & frites was main course....plus wine of course! We don't do this everyday....just once a week!

      • we havent officially had a frost yet tho my courgettes on the river plot looked as tho they had been frosted today...however one is forecast for tonight so i've bought the lemon tree indoors as well as some of my geraniums and i have fleeced the others...pity because my nasturtiums have just recovered from the drought and started to flower! Still around 18 degrees during the day ...lovley and warm this after...have not lit the wood burner yet and wont til we get back from second visit this month to engerland...wearing a cardigan indoors...weird its gone from t shirt and shorts to cardigans really quickly ...i'm still in summer mentality!!!

        • Very strange weather yesterday.
Woke up to gales and really heavy rain bouncing off the windows.
By the afternoon the wind had stopped, sun shone in a blue sky- warm enough to garden without a fleece.
By 6pm the cars were covered in frost
by 9pm it had all melted and a 'warmish' breeze ended the weather for the day!

          Boring today- cloudy,dull and damp!

                    • Can I add my welcome too
Snowing up a storm here - minus 10° and 20cm (about 8 inches) Still snowing with no sign of letting up. Best thing is that we decided to go shopping yesterday when it wasn't snowing Those of you who are my facebook friends can see my dog, Trevor (don't ask!) sliding around in it

                      • Bienvenue Davcoll!

Yesterday, we had more snow here again in Brittany, third time this winter. Luckily, it was just a light covering. It was fun the first time, but now it's just a pain in the ****! Roll on spring!
