    Too hot here too!!!!
Unfortunately I have had to be outside - to resow the seedlings eaten by rabbits last night and to put up netting so the little ******* can't come back for seconds.........

Yup, here too. Have dug a patio today!!!
Will lay the sand, mortar and slates tomorrow. Might have to get up v. v. v. early to beat the sun though. Today was unbearable, We have the visitor onslaught starting tomorrow pm and desperately need a bigger table and somewhere to put it.
Read in the Weekly Telegraph about a polo day somewhere where celebs were enduring 26 degree heat - poor dears.

                      Dug a patio! Blimey!
I still haven't been able to face mending my shed roof.
Perhaps I should try to do it at night? Might look a bit suspicious though, crawling about on a roof with a headtorch on.
I'm going to have a nice, cold cloudy cider in the shade on my new bench

                        When I say 'dug'.............
(thinking of writing a book - 101 uses of a rotovator!)
Did, however, fill 15 wheelbarrow loads of soil and use it to cover the weeds!

Today was even hotter...reached 50 on the upstairs window sill where we keep the thermometer. Its now 10.15 pm and its still 31.
Impossible to do anything at all...when i walked into the village the local boys were diving into the river...almost joined them.
cooler tomorrow allegedly and i might be able to dig up the last of my garlic and clear the way for some late planting.......but there again.....
