Thursday night, Driday and Saturday, rain and wind. End of the hurricane (Gordon) hammered Ireland and brought down trees, electric wires and left lots of areas flooded. In spite of all t6hat the temp is still up around 16degs. Still holding out for a little more sunshine, fingers crossed to ripen the rest of my toms.

And your hands begin to harden.

Tuesday 22nd, a lovely sunny day until evening when it started to rain. Still picking plenty of ripe toms.
Today 23rd. Rain and wind, the end of hurricane Helena i think. Totally miserable but still warm, around 14 or 15 degs.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

Friday 29th. a lovely sunny day, could still have been summer it was so good.
Saturday 30th. absolutely wicked. Rain, rain, and wind. A miserable day weatherwise but a great day for our family as our grandson Joel Michael was christened today.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.

Sunday, Oct. 1st. Rain in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. Warm still but cool in the mornings and evenings
Today 2nd. A lovely day, sunny but a little on the cool side. My garden is a mass of color as the Dahlias bloomed late and the Nireine are in full bloom, so quite a lot of color for this late in the year.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.

              A lovely sunny day. Spent most of it in the garden cleaning and tidying up the leaves. Cut the last cucs down today and tidied up the greenhouse.;

Today id Sunday and the weather has been really balmy for the past week. Picked about 10 lb. of toms yesterday and there are still plenty on the bushes. I have to say however they are really beginning to slow down on the ripening front now. Chillis and toms in greenhouse still going well.
                    Temp today 15deg.

Sat, and where has the week gone. A mixed week with a couple of wet days but still the temp. in double figures. All the dhalias still in blossom and a lily bloomed this week. Seasons gone mad i think.
Today is mild but no drying. Temp 13deg.

October 31st spooky Halloween....! A lovely warm day today - not very 'October-ish' although this evening it's been alot cooler and more like the weather we'd expect for this time of year.

Had a couple of close calls with frost, but still nothing yet in this neck of the woods. Hoping it'll stay that way for a bit longer for my pumpkins to finish ripening.
