Sunny morning, but the ground was wet on waking (good news for the cabbage plants!!). Forecast is for staying fine and reaching 18 degrees - was quite pleasant walking around an hour ago.

Yesterday Sat. 15th was the most beautiful day. Hotter than a lot of the days in summer.
Well the weather changed today. Rain, wind and the temp is down. I think this is the end of our indian summer.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Quite a distinct chill in the air this morning. Going to hit 14 today, but down to 1-6 degrees tonight due to the clear skies.

Clear skies this morning, although there is a threat of showers later - no sign of them yet. Quite calm though, and any breeze is coming from the cold North!!

Cold today but at least its dry.Abit overcast but no sign of rain. Temp in the low teens.

And your hands begin to harden.

Sun peeping between the clouds, not quite as chilly as yesterday. We had rain overnight and it's due again later, but dry at present. Mid teens temps.

Well we have such a wet day here today. Woke up to lashing rain and its still coming down.

It has dried up in the city centre if that's any consolation! Full cloud, but the mirrored windows across from me are not the totally grey colour of winter but slightly yellow of sun trying to peep through....

Saturday 22nd. A really beautiful day. Warm sunsgine and blue skies. Magical at this time of year. Spent the whole day in the garden.

Today is dull and overcast so far. No hint of coldness ion the air at present. Could pick up to be a nice day yet.

                    • Yesterday was another nice day - it rained as I arrived at the plot but was sunny and warm for a long time before I left. Spent most of the weekend outdoors or nearly (in kitchen with back door and windows open as I cooked and preserved), which was great.

This morning there is a seriously cold wind though and cloudy dull skies again. I'm glad we made the most of the weekend as I think that was the Indian Summer....

                      • Today there is a clear sky and sunshine, but there was a bitter chill in the air this morning (weather forecaster was talking about grass frost in places this morning). Put away the toddler's t shirts last night - she won't get any more wear out of them this year...

                            • Not such a good day today. Woke up to hazy rain and grey skies. The temp however is up and no feel of coldness in the air. A dull day just the same.

                              • Yesterday started wet, drizzly wet, but warmish. It dried out during the morning and by early afternoon, the sun was shining and we spent a lovely hour on the plot in beautiful autumn weather.

Today, back to dull cloud, still dry (although it rained during the night) - was chilly this morning, but not too cold once the sun got up properly. Reckon mid teens temp.
