For North Wiltshire not sure if we're south west or not?! Some say yes, some say no! Anyway the weather -Yep raining here also... water butts nice and full again.
i have been working in cheltenham today from 6.00am the weather has been superb, came home and sat in the garden with a glass of scotch, while wellie watered, sheer bliss MMmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
On account of the fact that I wouldn't have a clue how to post up a thumbnail picture, even if it bit me on the bottom; there's only one thing to be said:
"Trousers Honey. Please log me out, and log yourself in when you want to say something, or people will think that I'm way more clever than I actually am."
As I said in my very last post, we live amidst a fair few rivers! Thankfully we are missing the floods of Gloucester City Centre, and won't be affected with the River Severn bursting its banks, and given that prisoners were transferred from Gloucester Prison this afternoon, at whatever cost, I think that's a dead cert.... And tomorrow is forecast as 20c, a typically bright and sunny summers' day. Then back to rain again Wednesday and Thursday, with Friday forecast as Sunny with the occasional shower.
I cannot begin to imagine the heartache and trauma for those affected by the floods around us... just awful....
Thankfully, Trousers and I have not been affected by floods here at Holly Cottage. We made it our business 7 years ago when we moved here, not to buy a property remotely in danger of flooding, but my heart truly goes out to everyone in our area of Gloucestershire, who yet again, are facing complete devastation with the flooding, or potential of....
and the Chepstow road was closed off today, which must of caused mayhem.
Well, we've been really so very mild here this weekend. Saturday we both worked in the garden, in t-shirt sleeves, I kid you not. It felt very strangely like a spring day: blue sky, dry and warm. Weird.
And today, albeit we didn't do anything at all actually, apart from cook a roast lunch, jams & jellies, and just talk, so nothing outside, but again, it was largely dry and mild.
