Yes I know I was out in it!
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

            • Torrential at times here..(like Suzie above).
Fieldmice in swet and mushy strawberry bed... a real pia.. they eat the ripe ones and pull and collect the green ones.
Set a trap but as we have fields nearby I will only catch a few of the 1000s .. (caught 5 in greenhouse in a week till I found and blocked up hole).

Male quails very subdued except during sunny spell at lunch... quail is due on menu in 2-3 weeks and I know exactly .. 3 males for the chop:-)

Garden path flooded as usual but it will not last. My goji plants (all 18 grown from seed) have been transplanted and growing away madly in this wet weather ... but on a raised platform as slugs appear to find the leaves irresistible.

Want to collect cow dung from field to rot down as compost for next year but it's far too wet: a dried out from the sun consistency is easiest to handle (and far less smelly).

Himalayan poppy has 5 heads.. waiting for some sun.
Propped up pear tree as it is starting to groan and sag under the weight of pears...

                      • I'm thinking of building an ark here in Lincolnshire!

I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

                        • Don't ever think of Cornwall as being a sunny county. Has been raining most of the time for the past week. Warm though and weeds growing at a gallop. Don't care much as I'm moving to Spalding in a couple of weeks Hurrah!

Spalding is now under water. So it should be cheaper now.
