An hour on from your post and I'm looking at blue skies - bl99dy weather

I checked on the veg path at 10am and it was wet but un-water logged. Four hours later everything was flooded and now, three hours later, it's nearly back to normal. I've taken a couple of short clips on my phone and will be posting them to my blog later to show the sheer amount of water we had.

I'm sure the people down south who have a hosepipe ban will need the pictures to prove how much rain we've had up here! Yep, blue skys now - bit late really! lets hope it stays like this tomorrow! dexterdog

if it carries on like this it wont drain till at least april and the grass needs a bloomin good cut too

It didn't freeze around us last night - at least I don't think it did. Best check on my seedlings when I get back. I'm on a half-day today so I can get to Berry's and buy some plastic pipe to drape protection over my beds.

headburro did you get your pipe at Berrys? I bought some hoola hoops in Tesco (64p each) the other day and plan to cut them in half - mind your I suppose it depends on how big your beds are
