  • The tide is high....

Blimey, is it just me or did we have a really high tide today? Jeannine and I took the puppy to the allotment at lunchtime and the River Colne had burst its banks and flooded the footpath. I got me new boots all wet and everything!

I did indeed - sadly these ones aren't welly boots, so they're not really supposed to get wet...

My OH sailed from Portsmouth to Caen Sunday night- and they needed to do the crossing much quicker because of the tides- full moon and Spring tides were the reason!
oh- yes,,,and piccies of the puppy please!!!

She's called Stig (of the dump, after the house we got her from!).

Actually we've had her a few months now - but I suspect she'll always be referred to as the puppy!

She looks cross lab/german shepherd? Beautiful

We don't notice tides this far inland, so can't comment on your river... Hope your boots have dried out though

Puppy? When she grows up you could enter her for the Grand National!
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

She's all German shepherd, or so we were led to believe. Apparently there's a breeder near us who specialises in all-black GSDs, though Stig has tan fur between her toes!

We 'rescued' her at four months from her first owner, who said she didn't get on with his Jack Russell. Personally I think he couldn't be bothered with looking after a young dog. Why do people do it?!

Some men are just drawn to huge puppies.

WoW, I didn't know that people bred 'all blacks' (), although all white ones are a big thing in the States.
Before we got Pads, I read that the black & tan ones are likely to get bigger than the tri-coloured. Your Stig is looking similar sized to Paddy already & Pads is 3!!
Is she very vocal? Paddy never shuts up, she keeps a running commentary of whines, groans, grumbles, for all the world like she's having a chat!!
She says a "hewwoo" that sounds just like Scooby Doo when you come in

Seem to have veered away from the high tide a bit....
