A good inch to 2 inches here

a headmaster who does not shut the school at the drop of a hat!
      School Open

      Dear Parents,

School is open today. However, there will be no breakfast club and a reminder there is no need for Nursery children to attend today.

Please dress warmly as we hope to take advantage of the snow on the field!

      Kind regards,
Never test the depth of the water with both feet

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

Well, the forecasters got it horribly wrong for us - we've had loads of snow overnight and the gritters/ploughs haven't been out... I've just been watching the bin wagon trying to get up the hill... It didn't make it! It's still snowing now, and the (Metcheck) forecast is still saying 'Sunny Intervals'

It's a perfect picture postcard day today........The snow is falling, the trees are white & the ground looks like it has just been painted.

We had a good few inches last night. Some of the roads round the village hadn't been gritted, so I didn't attempt "the hill". Came in via the motorway.

When I got to the office LadyWayne had sent me this in....

Last time we had this much snow he was only days old.

No snow but I had to use a lump of wood to break the ice on the chook's water bucket this morning (keep a bucket nearby to fill up the drinkers)

Aaaaaaawww seriously cute HW. We had a fair bit of snow and it's been trying hard this afternoon. His Lordship was called out at 5.30am as part of the 4x4 emergency response team to help with the accident on A1, ferrying food and drinks to cold drivers stuck at Biggleswade and helping with the closure, strangely the lorry was owned by a friend of ours too they were there until late morning.

That sounds like a cold call out Hayley. No snow here, cold biting wind. Due to go to DDs tomorrow - they've got plenty of snow!
That's a really cute one HW!

We had snow falling yesterday, but it was too wet to settle. This morning we have a very light covering. I understand the Ipswich area of Suffolk got it pretty bad (or good, depending on how you feel about snow)

Got another little fall this morning, it looks like icing sugar out there.
I went out in my jarmas to make the parrot a snowball - she wouldn't touch it though. Guinea pigs are staying in their snug.

Blackbird was outside the back door, waiting for raisins.
