Went out to get my haircut this morning (9am), and the inside of teh windscreen was frozen. It said -4 on the thermometiser in the car. The bottle of water that I always have in the car was actually frozen.

Our close and the road we live off of is like sheet ice. Most other roads have been gritted.

    Be careful out there people.

Well, I managed to get myself on the only flight to land at Newcastle for a few hour s-- they closed the airport due to snow.* Now if Heathrow could stay open, how could Ncle be closed due to the inclement weather?* Hey Snadge - what's that about us darn sarf?? The landing was met by applause from the passengers!!* In comparison I would say that Newcastle got what London had a couple of days later!!

Not much depth of snow, but the roads and pavements are lethal. Had to go to work today, so wore my leather walking boots (good grips) - still nearly fell. No gritting apparent round here.

We're always classified as south east down here, however we're really just south.
Weather here is rain and lots of it

We've still got snow. It came down Thursday night and has snowed each night ever since then, freezing inbetween just to add to the excitement. It would appear to be thawing a bit now, but there is still snow on rooftops.

Really beautiful here this morning, looking out over the farmers' fields. Took me over 3 hours to get nephew though (by bus). A journey that takes me half the time by bike.

The bus got stuck in traffic so we had to leg it for our connection, and none of the pavements had been gritted.

It's raining here now!! Pavements still slippery, though most of the snow is melting fast.

Had a few butt clenching moments on the way home tonight. Snow started to come down just before home time. Fresh snow laid on top of sheet ice. Lovely.

Gritters have been rubbish round here - there are sections of road that look like tarmac breaking up - it is in fact big old chunks of compressed black ice. Dangerous.
