Filled the water butts with the hose on Monday, watered on Tuesday early afternoon and the blow me 13mm of rain in the early evening!!!!! The most we have had since 11th June.Gardening requires a lot of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. Lou Erickson, critic and poetComment

A huge black cloud appears on the horizon.

I grab the washing off the line.
Throw the kids bikes and playmobil into the shed, undercover.

3 minutes. 3 TEENY WEENY MINUTES OF NEXT TO NOTHINGNESS!!!!
That's just cruel that is. I got the cloud NOW I want the rain it should have had in it!!!! It's so not fair.
I can't remember the last time we had a decent down pour - our Victorian Well is at the lowest we've ever seen it and the pond has all but dried up.

I had a BBQ for my daughters 1st bday on Saturday.. rained, moved BBQ under a gasebo, sun came out, moved it out. Rained, moved back in, sun out moved it back out. Mid-BBQ, had two bbq's on full whack it THREW it down. It filled my butt, how mad is that? massive downpour, then stopped - sun came out for the rest of the day. Craaaaaazy. Still, can't complain!Comment
