Hmmm, two days ago the forecast said I would get possible frost on Wednesday night, now it's been pushed back to Friday night. I wouldn't be surprised if on Thursday it says frost is due on Monday night. Oh well, we'll see.

I didn't see any frost but the g/house was down to 0C overnight and there was ice in the water barrel, so fleece is staying where it is, as the next few days are forecast to be more of the same

Just been out to the GH 1'C in there so lit the lamp and put the bin lids on. More of the same forecast over the weekend.

Just watched an open air performance of Midsummer Nights Dream on the beach, supping cider sitting in the sun. Like a summer's day! Did you say frost tonight?

Frost alert in Midlands, so have closed cloches, put recycled milk cartons over peas, and brought lots of pots inside, etc - but should I try and cover lavender, pinks, onions, potatoes? etc - or will they be okay?

Lavender, pinks and onions are hardy so should be fine unless small seedlings. Potatoes will need covering if the shoots are above ground.

Thanks Rustylady - I thought so, just wanted to double check. Think Potatoes will be okay, as they are still well below ground.. Have brought other things such as the plum saplings from other day
