The Golden Disk has gone from here too this morning At 5am it was lovely and warm. Now there is grey cloud and I've had to put a cardigan on! Hey Ho....at least nothing else will get frazzled today.

Thanks Nicos, Sun parcel arrived safely, delicately wrapped in fluffy clouds and tied with mare's tails! Most grateful for its safe return

Any chance of someone sending heavy rain my way on Friday night? Please? Pretty please?
Hoping for swollen rivers again, Pa/Robin?

S'lovely here, but a definate breeze has sprung up. This may be a good thing, as it was claustraphobicly hot last night....

And my 4 water butts are now 1/3 empty (or 2/3 full!!)

Hazy and humid here - after yesterday's heat we had a thunderstorm last night which saved me from having to water. I went out early this morning and finished digging and stomping down the west bed, then decided it was just too sticky and came back in.

The seedlings are loving it, though - can't believe how fast the runners and sweet peas are growing.

It's reading 47°c in that poly with both ends off and I just can't stand it. I've only been in for two mins and had to come out again

Another scorcher here today. The greenhouse with window open, door ajar and fleece clipped in place to diffuse the sunlight managed to hit hit 44°C in there. Just carried 75 litres of water down to the garden to top up the rapidly-emptying water butt. It's a pain when you don't have an outside tap and live in a first floor flat. Please let it rain...and yes Maid VC, I do keep praying for a swollen river, in fact a full-on spate would be good but it ain't gonna happen any time soon.
Tried and Tested...but the results are inconclusive

Not quite everyone I've been watering mine fairly constantly for a couple of months, occasionally it decided to rain and I got a break.

Well I wish I'd kept my mouth shut!! It turned out to be ridiculously hot this afternoon. When I let work at 10pm this evening it was still 24 degrees!
